What Are Some Foods to Include in Summer Charcuterie Boards
As seen above, there are tons of food ideas to include in your boards.
SWEET:
Fruit is such a fun idea to play around with. Include chocolate dipped strawberries for that extra sweetness or or even shape strawberries into roses like I did here.
Don’t forget the chocolates! Chocolate pairs well with meats and cheeses so it’s an important staple to any charcuterie board. Candied lemons, limes, and oranges make for a fun little summertime surprise.
Another option is adding in things like mini danishes, macaroons, and chocolate covered nuts.
SAVORY/SALTY:
Vegetables like peppers, asparagus, cucumber or carrots are always a good idea as they bring out tons of color to the plate.
Don’t forget salty meats like bacon, prosciutto and salami.
Nuts,, olives and cornichons are also a good choice. Consider sliced almonds, walnuts, crackers, and toasted baguettes for an extra crunch!
DIPS
Sweet dips like peanut butter, nutella, yogurt, honey, caramel, and jams make great options.
Salty dips like salsa, hummus, veggie dips, and spicy guacamole are also a good choice.

Where to Get a Charcuterie Board?
Sometimes I will get my charcuterie board from a store like Home Goods or Target but recently I have gotten mine from Amazon.
Keep in mind, they need to state they are food safe otherwise you need to use a food wax like this one on there to keep them food safe.
Here are some of my favorite boards.
I hope you enjoyed these Summer charcuterie boards as much as I did!
I plan to have a blog post talking about charcuterie boards for every season. So far I have done a spring and summer one.

Hi, I was wondering about nitrates, some cured meats have them and some don’t, what are your thoughts and IF one chooses to do without nitrates, where do you purchase those meats?
Thank you 😊
Hi Barbara!
I try to find nitrate free meats. I typically find them at my Trader Joes or Whole Foods. Hope that helps!
