Would you believe me if I told you just about two years ago I didn’t even have a skincare routine?
All I did was take off my makeup and go to bed,
That was literally what my skincare routine consisted of… me washing my face with cold water in the morning and taking off makeup before bed with a washcloth.
YIKES.
It’s funny because in the past I’ve had lots of very nice compliments about my skin.
I have learned so much in the last two years through my favorite bloggers and social media on how to take care of my skin and now I want to share it with you all!
My morning routine is 5 steps and nighttime routine is an 8 step process… a little better than when I first started, huh?
My Morning Skincare Routine
1. Charcoal Facial Wash
When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is wash my face with a charcoal bar soap from Young Living.
The soap pulls out dirt without stripping the natural moisture from the skin. It’s perfect for anyone who has oily, a combination of oily and dry or acne-prone skin to help keep the skin looking healthy and clear!
Contact me for more information on the bar soap.
2. Toner
I use the Young Living ART Refreshing Toner next.
This toner helps remove impurities with the blend of essential oils and other ingredients. It helps balance the skin’s PH and keeps it clean and refreshed without leaving it dry.
Contact me for more information on the toner.
3. Sunscreen
Yes, we all know the sun is so bad for us. But did you know you should be applying sunscreen to your face daily?
I use KAPLAN MD Skincare’s Daily Moisture SPF 30 Concentrate. This helps with smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, combats free radicals and protects your skin from the sun.
It also contains 22 certified organic extracts so you know I’m all about it!
All you need to do is put a small-sized drop into your hand and pat the skin gently while smoothing the SPF around your face until everything is absorbed.
You can get the sunscreen here.
4. Rose Quartz Facial Roller
I show this little guy off a lot on my Instagram Stories.
The roller helps reduce dark under eyes, promotes blood circulation and helps control puffiness and wrinkles.
I take the roller and roll it in an upward position from the middle of my face then outward. I also use it in an upward motion on my neck.
If you haven’t tried this yet, you must! It feels so good on your face and under your eyes!
You can get the roller here.
5. Perfect Pout Lip Balm
This hydrating lip balm has SPF 30 and helps repair dry and chapped lips.
It also contains 22 certified organic extracts to nourish the skin.
Be sure to apply it at least 30 minutes before going outside. Many years ago I got horrible sunburn on my lips (think swelling and blisters, gross) so I definitely plan on bringing this to the beach with me.
Want smooth and plumper lips? I definitely recommend giving this lip balm a try!
You can get the lip balm here.
That sums up my morning skincare routine.
Five easy steps to help my skin glow throughout the day!
My Nighttime Skincare Routine
1. Charcoal Facial Wash
Gotta remove that dirt and grime from the day!
Of course, using the same soap from the morning.
2. Makeup Remover
This may be strange but I use grapeseed oil as my makeup remover.
Grapeseed is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and contains high amounts of vitamin E.
I have a little on a cotton ball and dab away.
Put it in a cute bottle like this one and you are set!
3. Perfect Pout Lip Mask

I apply this lip mask after removing the makeup from my face but before doing anything else because it needs to sit for about 3-5 minutes.
Apply the mask all over your lips and a little over your lip line then let it sit.
The mask contains Hyaluronic Acid which helps exfoliate the dry and flaky skin on your lips as well as plumps them up.
*Tip: Put on the lip balm after this and your lips will feel amazing!
Get the lip mask here.
4. Toner
I use the same Young Living ART Refreshing Toner as I do in my morning routine.
Contact me for more information on the toner.
5. Rose Quartz Neck Serum
This neck serum is AMAZING! It contains crushed diamonds, 22 certified organic extracts, and fermented bioactive complex (helps with elasticity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and hydration for your skin).
It also has progeline which has been clinically proven to lift and firm the skin as well as triacive vitamin complex which are combinations of vitamin A, C and E.
I’ve never been a fan of my neck so if you’re looking for a more youthful neck, trust me… this product WORKS. After the first time I used it, not only could I see the results, I could feel the results.
I mean, who doesn’t want a tighter neck?
The neck and the decollete are often forgotten about or ignored so keep in mind that it is super important to do your skincare routines on those areas as well!
Get the neck serum here!
6. Facial Glow Serum
I actually make my own glow serum and it is absolutely amazing.
All you need is jojoba oil, copaiba essential oil, frankincense essential oil, and lavender essential oil.
I use the brand from Young Living (learn more about them here).
- In a 2ml glass bottle with a dropper, combine 10 drops copaiba, 10 drops frankincense and 10 drops lavender
- Fill the remainder with jojoba
- Apply to clean dry face (avoid the eyes)
Some people swear by this morning and night but right now it is just part of my nighttime routine.
It smells great, feels great and with the amazing benefits of the essential oils, your face will literally glow.
Contact me for more information on the glow serum.
7. Firming Eye Balm
If you saw my Body + Soul post, you’d know I am obsessing over Miracle Eyes Firming Eye Balm.
It helps reduce fine lines, puffiness, and gives you a well-rested glow.
I apply the balm before bedtime all around my eyes and cheeks.
8. Moisturizer
Your skin needs proper hydration and this ART Light Moisturizer does just the trick!
I apply this as the last part of my skincare routine before bed and my skin just drinks it right up.
Contact me for more information on the moisturizer.
I also exfoliate and do masks once (or twice( a week! I have this feeling that next year I’ll be adding more steps to my skincare routine.
