The best part about this is that you only need a few ingredients and you might even have them in your kitchen!

What You’ll Need for This Easy Fourth of July Dessert
You will need just a few things to make these incredible Patriotic Strawberries.
First, you need the fresh strawberries themselves. Make sure they are red and firm.
Secondly, you will need a bag of white chocolate that can be melted.

I used Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers since they melt so well.
Then you need food coloring. I prefer the gel kind, and I get mine here.

The last thing you will need is silicone star molds. You can get them here.
How to Make Patriotic Strawberries
First, wash your strawberries and pat them dry.
Then, melt some of your white chocolate wafers until completely melted.

Add a few drops of the blue food coloring into the melted white chocolate and stir until it is completely blue.
Dip your strawberries into the chocolate.
Set on wax paper and let it harden.

In the meantime, melt some more white chocolate and add it to the star molds.
I don’t like to fill the molds all the way up because it will make the chocolate mold super thick.
Instead, fill them up a little less than halfway.
Tap the silicone mold down on the table a few times to ensure there are no bubbles.

Stick it in the fridge and let it harden.
When both the chocolate covered strawberries and the chocolate star molds are firm, you can begin adding the star to the chocolate.

What I like to do is take any leftover white chocolate (melt it again if it needs to be melted) and add a small drop or two to the back of the white chocolate star.
Then, stick it to the strawberry.

Hold it for just a few seconds and it will harden right onto the strawberry.
That’s it! Now you have some delicious Patriotic Strawberries.
Other Decorating Ideas
This most certainly isn’t the only way to make some Patriotic Strawberries!
You can make your dipped chocolate red, white, and blue.
Another option is to use a different silicone mold.
I actually have heart ones with the American Flag imprinted on it (almost went that route but stuck to the stars instead).

You can dip your strawberries into blue or red melted chocolate and add red white an d blue swizzles on it.
Add some festive red, white, and blue sprinkles.
See… there are just tons of fun options!
Can These Be Made Ahead of Time?
Yes and no.
Making these strawberries a few hours ahead of time is ok. Just be sure to keep them in the refrigerator until it’s time so the chocolate doesn’t start melting.
If you make them a day or more in advance the strawberries won’t taste as fresh and they definitely won’t look as good.
Since it only takes about 20 minutes to make, I recommend making them no longer than a few hours before you need them.
