They’re also super customizable—you can dip them in different kinds of chocolate, roll them in cute sprinkles, or decorate them really however you want! The best part? You don’t have to be a pro baker to pull these off. This recipe is totally beginner-friendly. My kids could even do it on their own.
Let’s break it down step-by-step so you can whip up a batch of these cute treats just in time for Easter!
Supplies Needed for Marshmallow Pops
Before you make the delicious marshmallow pops you’ll need to gather a few basic supplies. Most of these can be found at Walmart or your other local grocery store.
- Lollipop Sticks or Kabob Sticks – These will hold your marshmallows and turn them into pops.
- Microwave-Safe bowls – For melting your chocolate or candy melts.
- Spoons or Small Spatulas – For stirring and spreading chocolate as needed.
- Wax Paper or Parchment Paper – To place the pops on while decorating or cooling.

Optional Supplies:
- Decorating Bags (optional) – This is helpful for drizzling different colored chocolate over the pops.
- Styrofoam Block or Drying Rack – This helps hold the pops upright while the chocolate sets.
- Easter-Themed Stickers- To decorate the bag and add an extra festive touch
Marshmallow Pops Ingredients
The ingredients list is short and sweet but you can get creative here!
MARSHMALLOWS
I prefer to use the jumbo size because it fits best on the Kabob stick. You can grab marshmallows in any flavor you want!
MELTING CHOCOLATE OR CANDY MELTS
You can use white, milk, or dark chocolate. For Easter, I did white chocolate and gel food coloring. You can also get colored candy melts but I find those not to melt as well as melting chocolate.
GEL FOOD COLORING
This is where it starts to get fun! Get creative and pick some fun colors for the icing! If you use color candy melts you can skip this ingredient.
SPRINKLES
Think pastel colors, mini eggs, bunny-shaped sprinkles, or crushed candy.
OPTIONAL FILLINGS/TOPPINGS
Feel free to decorate your marshmallow pops however you’d like! Add in some mini chocolate chips, crushed graham crackers, shredded coconut, edible glitter, or crushed Oreos… yum!

How to Make Easter Marshmallow Pops
Now that we have all of the supplies and ingredients, it’s time to make the marshmallow pops.
First, you need to insert the sticks into the marshmallows.
I use 3 jumbo marshmallows and one Kabob stick and inset the marshmallows onto the Kabob stick.
You can also use one marshmallow and a lollipop stick. I’ve done something similar to that with these Marshmallow Rainbow Pops.

Next, melt the chocolate.
In a microwave-safe bowl take your chocolate and carefully melt it in 30-second intervals (be sure to stir well between the intervals). Also, don’t overheat it or it will burn and taste gross!
While it’s melting, grab your wax paper and lay it out.
Next, I separated the chocolate into 3 different bowls and added some gel food coloring.

Then I place the melted chocolate into bags and drizzle them on the marshmallows.
Go quick before the chocolate hardens!
If you are planning on adding sprinkles or toppings on it while the chocolate is still melted so they stick!
Once they are all decorated you can either keep them on the wax paper to set or place the stick upright on a styrofoam block until the chocolate completely hardens.
Then feel free to eat them or package them for Easter baskets, dessert tables or school treats!
Bonus Ideas to Customize Your Easter Marshmallow Pops
If you want to try other fun methods of decorating your marshmallow pops, try a few of these ideas below:
- Bunny Tails – Dip just the top of the marshmallow in white chocolate, then roll it in coconut or white sprinkles for a fluffy bunny tail look.
- Carrot Pops – Use orange candy melts (or gel food coloring) and green sprinkles or icing on top to make them look like little carrots.
- Chocolate-Dipped Peep Pops – Replace the marshmallow with a Peep and dip it in chocolate for a fun twist!

Why You’ll Love Making These Marshmallow Pops for Easter
Marshmallow pops are so cute.
First off, they are super affordable with just a few simple ingredients and supplies.
They also only take about 10 minutes to make and can be as simple or detailed as you want.
This is a no-bake dessert so you can give your kids this task without worrying about the oven!
The best way to do this is to set up a little “dipping station” with bowls of chocolate and sprinkles, and let the kids go wild decorating their own pops.
If they are a little on the younger side help them with sticking the marshmallows on the stick and melting the chocolate but the rest they can do on their own!
It’s a great family activity, and you’ll end up with cute treats that double as edible décor.
They also store well—just keep them in an airtight container or wrap them up and they’ll stay fresh for several days. Perfect for that crazy Easter prep!
Whether you’re putting together Easter baskets, planning a spring party, or just looking for something sweet to make, Marshmallow Pops are the perfect treat. They’re festive, fun, and totally customizable.
Let me know if you try them out… I’d love to see how you decorate yours!
