Back in the day, all you needed was a decorated shoebox and your Valentine’s Day box was ready to go! Now, there are so many creative Valentine’s Day boxes I don’t even know where to begin!
If your kids are going to have a Valentine’s Day party at school, I have a great Valentine’s Day box idea for you! A hot air balloon Valentine box! Isn’t it just the cutest? I bet you have almost if not all of the supplies at home! If not, I linked where I got them at the end of this post.
A hot air balloon box is so fun to make! After I made mine, my kids made theirs. I know they can’t wait to take theirs to school.
I also made a cactus Valentine Box that I’ll share some other time which was just as fun. But for now, let’s get started on this one!
Hot Air Balloon Valentine Box
Supplies:
1 Paper Tub
1 Balloon
4 Straws
Heart Shaped Paper Cutouts
Black Construction Paper
Silver Sharpie
Glue Gun
Directions:
Glue about 1″ of the four straws onto the paper tub (like pictured below).
Use the heart cutouts and glue them onto the straws. I did 3 per straw.
Then blow up a balloon and carefully attach to the straws with a glue gun. It won’t pop if you are careful!
Write your name on black construction paper with a silver sharpie and glue it onto the paper tub.
Easy-peasy and oh-so-fun!
Watch the video on how I made it: LINKED HERE.
I got all my supplies from here I got the paper tub from Walmart while the rest of the items were either from Amazon or in my craft supplies.
Tell me, what Valentine box do you plan on making? The options are endless!
