This healthy blackberry dessert is one I keep making over and over again. It’s simple yet delicious!
I am drooling over this healthy blackberry dessert.
If you’ve been on my Instagram you’ve seen tons of tons of cute desserts.
As cute as they are, they are usually for my kids and not for me.
Luckily, I am usually not tempted by those kinds of desserts but if you give me fruit and chocolate, I will eat it all day long.
So, I came up with this super simple chocolate drizzled blackberry dessert that I will nibble on (without guilt) throughout the day.

It’s almost like a chocolate blackberry bark!
What Ingredients Make Up the Chocolate Drizzled Blackberries?
With two ingredients, this may be the easiest and one of the healthiest recipes I’ve ever made.
First you need to grab fresh blackberries.

You also need melted chocolate.
I prefer a semi-sweet or dark chocolate because I love the more bitter chocolates but you can pick whichever you want.
As for brands, I tend to go towards Enjoy Life chocolate chips as they are dairy and gluten-free.
How To Make the Chocolate Drizzled Blackberry Recipe
Wash and dry the blackberries then set aside.
Then melt your chocolate.
When melting with chocolate chips I tend to do 30 seconds on 50% power, mix, then do 10-second increments on 50% power until fully melted.
Don’t melt too quickly or else the chocolate can harden and go to waste.

Line your blackberries up on wax or parchment paper however you want.
Make sure they are touching if you want it shaped like chocolate bark.
Use a fork and dip it in the chocolate.
Drizzle the melted chocolate on the blackberries and coat the parts that are touching well enough so it all stays together.
When you’ve added all the chocolate you wanted, place in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.

Take it out of the refrigerator,
Enjoy!
What Are Some Other Chocolate Drizzled Fruit Ideas?
So I have been contemplating on making a few other flavors.
I am a big fan of putting chocolate chips in raspberries (you have to try it) but I want to try other things like chocolate drizzled pineapple, chocolate drizzled oranges or even chocolate drizzled blueberries!

A few other ones I have done are chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate dipped oranges and chocolate dipped apples.
Pretty much any fruit mixed with chocolate is my favorite!
Tips and Tricks to Perfecting this Recipe
Although this recipe is pretty self-explanatory, let me show you a few tips and tricks just in case one of these things happens to you.
Chocolate is Lumpy
If your chocolate is lumpy, add some coconut oil to smooth it out. I like to melt mine super slow but with patience it typically melts however, sometimes adding coconut oil is necessary.
How to Drizzle the Chocolate
I like using a fork dipped into the chocolate.
You can also use a spoon but it won’t “drizzle” as nicely.

Another option I’ve done in the past is putting the melted chocolate into a Ziplock bag, cutting the corner ever so slightly and drizzling it on top.
You can also dip the whole thing into chocolate which would taste just as good.
What Are Some Substitutions to this Healthy Blackberry Dessert?
Fruit substitutions would be any kind of berry.
I would say the closest would be raspberries but you can do strawberries or blueberries as well.

Feel like branching out?
Try all sorts of different fruits!
Citrus, berries, stone fruits, etc.
Chocolate substitutions would include white chocolate, milk chocolate, peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, mint chips, etc.
I am unsure how the butterscotch or mint would turn out but I think combining dark chocolate and peanut butter chips would be a win for sure!
White chocolate is also nice but I just feel like there’s not a lot of taste to it.
Sure does look pretty though!
