I got a bar cart a few years ago because I thought it was the cutest thing and because I loved to host!
However, things definitely changed after having kids.
The bar cart used to be in our kitchen but then we upgraded a few things and it got pushed out to our sunroom which is almost never in use.
Once Luna was able to sleep in the same bedroom as Rosie I was able to bring it out again and placed it in my office.
Now I try to style it different ways for each season!
Not only can you style a bar cart with booze but you can do a mini dessert bar, coffee bar, sweet tea bar, and so much more!
How to Style A Bar Cart
Step One: Find the Perfect Bar Cart
There are so many different kinds of bar carts it can be hard to find “the perfect one.”

I knew I wanted one with a gold finish so I found some beautiful ones from Riverbend Home!

Step Two: Find Your Theme
Like I said earlier, I’ve seen tons of unique ways to style a bar cart.
This time around I wanted to make it summery… think citrus fruits and think fresh herbs!
Step 3: Stock Your Booze
Like I said earlier, summertime for me is all about citrus fruits and fresh herbs so I knew the perfect drink to go along with this theme, a Grapefruit Crush!.
Grapefruit Crush Recipe
- 1/2 Grapefruit, Freshly Squeezed
- 2 oz. Vodka
- 2 tsp. Triple Sec
- 1/4 cup Carbonated Water
- Crushed Ice
- Sprig of Mint
* Add a drop of Grapefruit Essential Oil (YL) for added flavor
Step Four: Have Fun with the Accessories
I wanted to add some beautiful metal detail into this bar cart so I used these gorgeous copper pieces from Riverbend Home.
I am obsessing over the metal straws. They add that perfect touch to any summer cocktail!
Throw in a bottle of wine to put on the cart because, why not? Plus… it’ll look super cute in this wine cooler.
It only takes four easy steps for a perfectly unique design.
I would love to hear how you style your bar carts in the comments below!
