This post is a hotel review of Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive.
This past week we traveled to Florida for a Disney wedding.
When we first heard about the Disney wedding, it was just going to be my husband that went (he was a groomsman). Then we decided to make a week-long vacation out of it!
We were going to visit my mother-in-law near Tampa, attend the Disney wedding, go to Disney World, and then finally Legoland.
Let me tell you, it was a BLAST!
DISCLOSURE: I had the opportunity to collaborate with Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive and received two complimentary nights! However, keep in mind that all opinions on this blog post are my own.
THE LOCATION
Before I get into the location, I wanted to mention that check-in is 4:00 PM. I called the morning of asking if we could do early check-in and they allowed me to come as early as 12:30 PM… so we were already off to a great start!
We left my mother-in-law’s house on Monday early afternoon and it took just over an hour to get to Wyndham Orlando Resort. It was a very quick trip and very easy to find.
There are a lot of amazing restaurants within walking distance of the hotel as well which was nice. Although we did have a rehearsal dinner in Orlando, we did take out the next night at one of the nearby restaurants called BJ’s Brewhouse… delish!
The hotel lobby itself was very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They helped us find our room which was just a few buildings away from the lobby.
The resort provides guests with close access to ICON Park which is a large entertainment attraction that is perfect for families! It is also just about 20 minutes away from Epcot (where the wedding was the next morning) and other Disney theme parks.
Parking was a breeze. We were able to park our car right in front of the building and super close to our room. This made it easy for us to unpack/pack up our car quickly since we were on the go a lot!
After we checked in, the staff brought us a complimentary cheese and fruit platter, oreo milkshakes for the girls, a nice bottle of red wine for my husband and myself, and a very nice thank you note. I was so impressed!
THE ROOMS
I was also pleasantly surprised at the rooms we received during our stay.
I thought we were going to get one room with two beds for us to share but instead, we received the Executive Suite and a double bedroom that was conjoined at the opposite end of the suite.
The Executive Suite had a king-sized pillow-top bed, a TV, a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, a large stand-up shower, two vanities, and a private toilet area. The bedroom itself also had French doors to create privacy between the bedroom and common areas.
The girls had their own private room on the opposite end. This room had two beds, its own private balcony, TV, and a bathroom. My girls loved it! They thought it was so cool to have their own space!
I was so caught up in our room that I forgot to take pictures of their room!
Each bedroom received complimentary bath products, folded linens, a hairdryer, and tons of space for the toiletries we brought!
In between these two rooms was a sitting room with a couch, two chairs, and a big flat-screen HDTV. It also had a large dining room table, a kitchen area with a mini-fridge, sink, and Keruig coffee maker. My favorite part though was one side had wall-to-wall windows and you could walk out to the balcony and see the heated pools and hot tub. It was a very gorgeous view!
THE AMENITIES + OTHER
Since we didn’t have the opportunity to explore all of the hotel amenities, we did miss out on a few things.
One thing I wanted to try was the Gatorville Poolside Bar & Grill but will be sure to visit it next time we are there!
Wyndham Orlando Resort also has a business center, fitness center, shuttles to many local attractions, free WiFi, and more!
After the wedding, we had a bit of time to kill so we all walked around the pool area and got to dip our feet into one of the two pools. We also got to see the hot tub and take some fun pictures of the resort property. It really was beautiful.
If you are staying in Orlando, I highly recommend you check out Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive,
Wyndham Orlando Resort, THANK YOU for the amazing stay! We cannot wait to go back!
