While most of us are thinking about Christmas and shopping, others are thinking about getting a jump start on the new year. I am doing a little of both.
Thankfully for Amazon, most of my gifts have been purchased and I am starting to get myself in order for 2020.
What are my plans?
First off… I have a few things up my sleeve for this blog. Not going to get into them just yet but I am definitely excited about it!
Secondly, I am going to dive in headfirst into clean eating again. I used to really focus on clean eating prior to having kids but in all honesty, it has not been a top priority of mine since I got pregnant in 2016.
This is why I created the 30 Days of Clean Eating Challenge!
What started out as a personal challenge of mine ended up being much more than that.
What do I mean?
Well… I first decided to do a small challenge for myself. Once the holidays were over I wanted to set a 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge and get myself back to feeling less bloated, more energized and honestly, just making better food choices.
SIDE NOTE: I plan on starting this challenge on January 2nd.
What’s the 30 Days of Clean Eating Challenge about?
Basically, this challenge is about going 30 days of eating non-processed foods and focusing on eating nutritious, clean, whole foods that are beneficial to my body. It’s pretty easy actually. Just say bye-bye to pre-packaged foods and hello to clean and fresh ingredients!
After I decided to set this goal for myself, I told a few people about my challenge and they wanted to join.
Is this challenge similar to the Whole30 plan?
While it may be similar, I am not planning on eliminating dairy or grains. I am open to eating select dairy products and select grains. Keep in mind, I am not going vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free or gluten-free.
Rather, I plan on eliminating things like chips, cookies and other processed crap that is full of added sugars, chemicals, refined carbs and ingredients that do my body no good.
However, I will NOT be giving up my wine.

So, I find this to be a little more flexible and a little easier while maintaining that healthy lifestyle.
Why am I waiting until January?
Honestly?
I want to enjoy my holiday month which includes holiday treats and food. In my mind, January is the perfect time to get my head clear and mine in the game.
Guilt-free, ya know what I mean?
What are my overall goals from the challenge?
Goal #1: Lose about 7lbs. This is my personal goal.
Goal #2: Lose a couple of inches of fat from my stomach, hips, and thighs.
Goal #3: Get back into the habit of eating clean and making better choices
So now I am asking you…
