Well, it is official… I have a one year old. Ok, a 15 month old since this post has been written three months late!
I have cried approximately 537 times thinking about the past year.
How does someone so little grow up so fast?
I wanted to throw a fun and very colorful first birthday party for my (not so little) girl so I decided to do a unicorn and rainbow themed party!
The day was full of laughter, fun, a ton of food and most importantly – so much love from all of our family and friends.
We had a blast and I know she did too (besides, she got to celebrate with two smash cakes… one on her actual birthday and one on her party).
We got this awesome time capsule printable sign from Etsy. I can’t believe she will be 18 in 2034!
We wanted to do an inexpensive (but colorful) backdrop.
These streamers were only $8.99 for 6 colors and I had orange at home already. Can someone say, bargain?!
However, the welcome sign I made took some time to put together.
I got floral foam and glued it into the pot.
Then I stuck a wooden rod into the floral foam and used my Cricut cutting machine to make the welcome sign.
I got the rainbow cut out from Michaels and the unicorn from a free online printable.
Thank you to my awesome sister for providing these colorful silicone cupcake liners!
Also, thank you Amazon Prime Day for the sweet deal you gave her! Fun fact… Amazon Prime Day is on Rosie’s birthday this year!
We discovered that the pool was the best way to give Rosie a quick bath so she could head back to her party. We had such fun with all of our friends and family and are so excited to show her these photos when she gets a bit older (especially the last one)!
