Have you gotten your Easter Egg Baskets ready for Sunday?
I sure have!
They are filled with chocolate bunnies, bath toys, Easter books, little zoo animals and more!
Trying to stay away from too much candy because ya know… little children + lots of candy
= T R O U B L E.
However, I could not resist making some adorable peep bird nest treats for my little one. They are so easy to make and quite possibly the most adorable Easter treat out there.
Almost (I said almost) too cute to eat but nevertheless… I ate them.
The pastry shells were easy to find at my local grocery store in the bakery aisle. They came in packs of 6 and I took them out of their container right before I started making them so they could stay fresh.
Next, I took about 3/4 cup of sweetened shredded coconut and a couple drops of green food dye and mixed them both together until the coconut resembled “grass.” Then I placed a couple of spoonfuls into each shell.

I found these cute Easter Egg M&M candies and placed them onto the nest. If you don’t like chocolate you can also use Jelly Beans!
Lastly, I placed the Peeps on top of the next. Easy, simple and oh so cute!
Like I said earlier, almost too cute to eat.
I am so excited to take Rosie Easter egg hunting and I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!
