Are we seriously going to be talking about the holidays already? Um… heck yes we are.
If you didn’t already know, I am a freak about 2 things. One is saving money and the other is CHRISTMAS!
I am that person who sets up their Christmas decorations during the first week of November. Dare I say it… I decorate BEFORE Thanksgiving.
This drives my husband up the wall but its been almost 15 years since he’s known me and I think he is finally getting used to it.
In our house, Christmas has never been about gifts but about the spirit of the holidays and spending time with family. However, since we now have two little ones in the mix it is time to start planning some fun-filled gifts!

However, gifts can be expensive. Like, really expensive.
Luckily, I have a few tricks up my sleeve on how to utilize some money-saving tips when shopping for gifts and I am happy to share them with you!
FIVE INEXPENSIVE GIFT IDEAS
1. Buy gift cards at a discounted rate from Raise.com before buying gifts.
Raise.com is an online marketplace where you can buy gift certificates at discounted prices. A lot of times I will buy a gift card from Raise.com then use it to buy the gift at the store or online.
The savings can really add up when purchasing multiple gift cards!
Since this is an e-gift card, there are no fees or shipping costs.
2. Mason Jar Gifts
I have approximately 475 mason jars at home (maybe not quite that many but I do have a TON) and there are so many fun gifts you can create with mason jars! They are super cute for friends, daycare teachers, and co-workers. Below are some of my favorite ideas.
3. Buy restaurant gift certificates at Restaurant.com
Retaurant.com is amazing. The website sells restaurant gift certificates at a discounted price! This is a great gift or even a great way to treat yourself!
4. Send Out Christmas Cards
This is one of my favorite gifts. I absolutely LOVE giving and receiving Christmas cards. I always put them up on my fridge and I save them year after year.
5. Groupon, Groupon, Groupon!
Oh, how I love Groupon. The deals are amazing and there are so many activities to choose from and things to do! Not only that BUT… you get 6% cashback when using Ebates.
FIVE MONEY-SAVING TIPS
TIP #1
Buy your gift online using Raise.com and then use Ebates to receive cashback on your purchase with your discounted gift cards!
DOUBLE WHAMMY.
SIDE NOTE: Click here to sign up for Ebates, and refer two people to receive $50 as a welcome!
TIP #2
Be sure to download Paribus. Paribus is great because when prices of products you purchase drop, they will request a reimbursement for the difference between the price you paid and the lower price. This will apply to any of the purchases you make.
TIP #3
Buy your gift at a store and use the Ibotta App to get cashback (read more about the Ibotta app here).

TIP #4
Take advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday savings! I prefer online shopping so Cyber Monday is practically my best friend.
TIP #5
I take a very small percentage out of every paycheck and put it towards a Christmas fund. That way, when the holidays roll around we are more than prepared and don’t need to worry about how much to spend.
There ya have it!
I hope you are able to utilize some of the gift ideas and money-saving tips!
Especially during this holiday season since it will be here before you know it!
