Do you ever feel like you’re not drinking enough water or feel dehydrated? I used to carry a gallon of water around and drink the whole thing in a day. That was back in my competition days… another post, another time.
Now, I need to set a timer to remind myself when I should be drinking more water.
Boy have the times changed!
I don’t really set a timer but it’s not a bad idea, right?
There are so many benefits to drinking water.
According to Medical News Today, it helps regulate body temperature, rid the body of toxins, leave your skin feeling more radiant, reduces the chances of a hangover, and more. Uh, yes, please.
This brings me to talk about my favorite water bottle… the Hydro Flask.
But for real, it’s so pretty to look at, right?
I received this as a gift from my “secret Santa” in Christmas of 2017 and I pretty much use it every day. It’s one of my favorite products from my 12 Day Gift Guide, the Fitness Lover.
Why do I love this product so much?
How can I not? It keeps my drinks super hot for up to 6 hours or super cold up to 24 hours thanks to the double-wall vacuum insulation.
I feel as though I am drinking more water quickly (super efficient). Of course, my favorite reason is that it’s an attractive water bottle, easy to sip AND it uses non-toxic BPA-free plastics & 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. Love it.
Not only do they have the 24oz Hydro Flask, but they also have a ton of different styles and colors.
(FYI: Not sponsored, just love the product and wanted to give an honest review)
I have been determined to figure out ways that I can drink more water effortlessly throughout the day. As a mom who’s always on the go, I needed simple methods that would keep me on track!
1. Infuse your water.
My go-to is lemon vitality essential oils from Young Living. You could also add a splash of lemon, some mint leaves, or some sliced strawberries and fresh basil!
As part of my morning routine, I love my hot water with lemon and I really love it after a nice ice roll.
2. Use a straw.
Often times when I am feeling lazy, I use a straw. I feel like I drink water quicker that way. I am a huge fan of silicone straws (BPA free, reusable and kid-friendly).
3. Take a water bottle with you wherever you go.
I always have a water bottle in my purse, at my desk, and by the side of my bed. It reminds me to take sips throughout the day.

4. Eat your water.
Munch on cucumber slices, watermelon, or celery. See a list of water-rich foods here.
5. Use an app or set a timer to remind yourself.

6. Prefer sparkling water? Get a SodaStream!
I have friends who swear by it. When I was pregnant with Luna, I craved bubbles in my drink (weird). I would always aim for sparkling water or club soda with lemon. YUM.
