Below is a list of my blogging resources:
These are all things that have helped make my blog profitable and that I would recommend to anyone who is starting a blog!
Bluehost
Hosting is also known as “renting” an area on the web for your blog space. Being one of the largest web hosting services out there, I chose Bluehost.
It is not expensive and they are the recommended host by WordPress. Not only that, but you get a FREE domain name.
Don’t forget to regularly back up your blog to save all of your content! Step by step instructions on how to back up your blog is found here.

The Genesis Framework
The Genesis Framework is the framework aka the”parent” theme I am using with this blog. This framework gets constantly updated and is very compatible with WordPress and its latest versions. With the Genesis Framework, you also need to get a Child’s Theme.
Child Theme
Restored 316 is where I found our Child Theme for the blog. I use the theme “Sprinkle Pro.”
The child theme is what makes the blog pretty! This is one of my favorite blogging resources that I will always recommend!
Fiverr
Fiverr has freelance logo designers where you choose your style, budget and time frame of when you need your logo designed by. Then fiverr will match your needs to the right designers!
Amazon Associates
Amazon Associates is a great program! You can add links to your blog from items on their site and get a commission when anyone clicks on the link or decides to make a purchase.
I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
Ebates
Ebates is quite wonderful actually! It is basically free money.
Well, not basically… it IS free money.
Whenever I shop online I make sure our Ebates is connected through our internet browser so I automatically get paid when I buy something (as long as the store you are shopping at is on the list of places Ebates work with).
Once you make a purchase through that site, you end up earning a percentage of the sale in CASH!
The money gets deposited into your PayPal account.
Interested in joining? Check Ebates out here!
You automatically get between 1-14% cashback and they have daily doubles that get sent straight to your email.
Ibotta
Ibotta is a pretty cool cell phone app. This app helps you make money off of your shopping receipts.
Before you shop, search the store you are going to go to and find the offers on the products you plan on purchasing.
Once you complete the simple tasks, the product ends up in your “offers” and once you purchase the item you scan your receipt to earn the money into your Ibotta account.
I have earned $.25 all the way up to $4.00 per item!
Once you hit $20.00 you get to withdraw the money into your PayPal or Venmo account.
When you sign up, you receive a $10.00 cash bonus when you make your first scan! Check Ibotta out here!
To date (November 5, 2019) I have earned $211.63 with this App.

iHerb
I love to use iHerb because they are a US-based company (that ships internationally) that is solely online and they sell nutritional supplements as well as organic products.
When you sign up with iHerb you will receive a 5% online discount! Then when other people sign up under you, you receive 5% rewards credit from both new and current customers.
Bonus: You receive 10% reward credit if customers shop the house brands.
Some of my favorite items include almond butter, these cinnamon rice cakes, and of course the pure, cold-pressed, organic coconut oil.
To sign up and receive 5% off be sure to use the code CSW131!
Blogging Resources – My Favorite Plug-Ins:
Some of my favorite plug-ins include the following:
- Pretty Links lets you shorten your links and make them clean and easy to remember. You can use your own domain name instead of using any other messy shrinking link service that looks like a bunch of random letters and numbers. For example, I would use http://www.lifestylewithleah.com/prettylinks
I will be updating my blogging resources often so be sure to come back to check it out from time to time!
