A Little “Behind the Scenes”

I am no means a photographer. I just like to take photos of my girls! However, I love to learn about photography and how to take a good picture. There is so much involved… good lighting, shadows, props, so on and so forth.

When I was taking Luna’s three-month photo it took me 37 photos to get the right one and this is pretty typical.

She’s pretty cute, right? I may be biased.

Check out some of the “not so perfect” (but still so cute) photos below.

First, Luna started crying right when I laid her down. Then Rosie wanted to help calm Luna down so she hopped onto the bed and tried to make Luna feel better. Then my husband came in to help distract Luna (enter baby rattle). That didn’t help so Rosie decided to take the baby rattle and she almost bashed Luna on the head with it. Hubby and I tried to distract Rosie which made Luna cry even more and then she passed out because she was so tired.

That is when I got the 37th photo. YAY!

So, now whenever you look at my photos just keep in mind it may have taken me 37 photos to get to the right one 😉

With this blog, I am going to try to be more transparent. My photos are never perfect and my writing is never grammatically correct. My house is almost always a mess and I spend half the day cleaning. I like to make dinner and wash the dishes before I sit down to eat it so I almost always have a cold dinner.

That is just a glimpse of my imperfect life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
